It seems like everyone and their grandma is starting blogs on blogging today, even if they only started blogging just yesterday.
A new blog teaching how to make money blogging which just happens to be their very first experience with blogging for money. Yikes!
So,
- Who do you trust for meaty blogging advice that’s smart and practical?
- Where can you find the top blogs about blogging, the very highest authorities who constantly speak sense?
- Which blogs about blogging tips should you add straight to your bookmarks bar so you never stop going back?
Here are the only guys (and girls 🙂 you should listen to.
Besides me of course 😉 .
10 Blogs About Blogging You Should Be Reading (If you want to grow)
1. Meera Kothand
Meera is a genuis at all things email marketing. But what makes her special is that this Amazon bestselling Author didn’t come into business as one. Perhaps that’s why she’s able to put herself into the newbie blogger’s shoes so easily.
What you’ll find on her blog, MeeraKothand.com is great marketing advice that isn’t locked away behind a $2000 pay wall.
Learn her secrets to writing such outstanding blog posts in this, well, outstanding blog post.
2. Kristie Hill
KristieHill.com is a pretty common destination for me when I need to find straightforward and super helpful instructions for something I’m struggling with.
Her entire blog and especially her about page is super cute and at the same time perfect execution of marketing. It feels like you are listening to a very knowledgeable friend speak.
Here’s what you should expect when you visit her blog; valuable blogging advice that leaves her name in your mouth forever. Start with her Google Analytics Pinterest dashboard.
3. Blogging Wizard
Want actionable blogging advice you can use? Blogging Wizard is the place to go!
I bookmarked Adam’s blog the very first time I found it. For me, there are only a few blogs that really do post great blogging advice I can use and Blogging Wizard is at the top of the list.
Here’s a list of Blogging Wizard’s best posts in 2018 to help you grow. Warning though, you’ll end up a true blogging wizard when you are done reading them..
4. Detailed
Glen, the guy behind Detailed owns several marketing blogs including Gaps and my first contact with him, Viperchill.
From a young age Glen developed an expertise in search engine optimization especially and spills it all in “details” on his blog Detailed.
Whatever you do, don’t fail to sign up to his list. He rarely sends emails but when he does it’s worth a thousand blog posts!
5. By Regina
While Regina herself is a playful, cute (but don’t forget powerful) woman, her blog is all no nonsense kickass advice for growing a blog like an online business.
She promises to “help you take big actions, master your business model, sell in human ways, and actually have fun learning all the small steps and big ideas that go into creating your profitable online brand.”
I’ll speak for myself and say that By Regina overdelivers on that promise.
6. Trial and Eureka
Want wizardry power and unconventional tips for creating opt-in pages that convert at up to 70%? Alp Turan is your man.
When I first came across Alp’s work my first thought was “What a joke!”. How could anyone make such preposterous claims?!
That was until he blew me away and made a firm believer out of me. If you only check out one blog on this list, let it be this one.
7. Backlinko
They say to save the best for the last but I think Brian Dean’s Backlinko should be no. 7 because 7 is the number of perfection (what Backlinko is).
Technically speaking, Backlinko is a blog on link building but since building authority is so crucial to blogging success you need to read this blog.
Hint: Backlinko is the reason why I don’t look at SEO courses at all.

8. Jeff Bullas
From tips for crafting winning headlines to insane twitter hacks, Jeff Bullas (the rulebreaker) is the evidence of the power of social media for digital marketing, blogging in this case.
What to expect on JeffBullas.com:
- Blog starting tips
- Traffic tips
- Social media and Content marketing hacks
- Search Engine Optimization
- Conversion Rate Optimization
- My mission is to inspire and educate people on “How to win at business and life in a digital world”.
9. WP Beginner
When you are just getting started with wordpress, Syed’s WP Beginner is a lifesaver.
There’s no topic about blogging on wordpress you won’t find on his blog so next time you have a wordpress related question do this.
Google search without the quotation marks “wordpress question wpbeginner.com”.
10. Blog Tyrant
This one is pretty emotional for me because Ramsay who was the founder and owner of Blog Tyrant until very recently is the biggest reason why my blog even exists.
In those early stages it was Ramsay’s teachings that made the most sense and didn’t try to jump into my pocket for money I didn’t even have.
If you are a beginner on a budget, I can assure you that this is the best blogging site for you.
So there you have it, no more excuse to keep reading terrible blogs about blogging.
Before you go, please share your personal favorite blog about blogging in the comments so I can add them to the list. Then be kind and share this post with your blogging friends.
Happy Blogging!
Hey Lily,
great selection. Most of those blogs are my favorites too. I especially like the work of Glen Allsop.
Viperchill is pure gold, and now Detailed is great too, though it still has very little content on it.
Cheers:)
