NameHero gives websites a rare opportunity to enjoy their high speed cloud hosting which is very suitable for different website sizes – small or big. Unlike most hosting services, they use cloud hosting technology which enables high speed optimization and huge traffic volume.

They offer shared hosting, reseller, and VPS hosting. Let’s take a closer look at their services.

1. Shared Hosting Plans

Unlike many hosting sites that will claim to offer unlimited web hosting as a ploy to win customers only to get them frustrated after attaining a certain number of users, NameHero is different. They offer shared hosting that are very affordable, and also state clearly the expected visits on each of these plans.

NameHero offers shared hosting plans that come with free Let’s Encrypt SSL certificate, and free SSD protection which are secured by Raid 10. Unlike the standard HDD, SDD don’t either store data using flash memory or have moving parts. This allows websites to load quickly without hard drive issues.

RAID 10 which secures the SDDs uses both disk striping and disk mirroring to safeguard your data. This makes your website even more safer than when hosted on a regular server.

NameHero also offers domain names for free. They offer free website transfer, nightly backups, one-click WordPress installation and a very high uptime guarantee. In addition, all domains on shared plans have the opportunity to use complimentary malware scanning including an effective brute-force attack protection to ward-off hackers for utmost safety of websites.

Your choice of hosting plan will determine the number of sites you will be able to host, the RAM allocated, and CPU cores that will be available for your use.

Pricing And Plans For Shared Hosting

Shared hosting plans provided by NameHero are available in four tiers:

1. Starter Cloud plan:

This plan is best for a website receiving up to 10,000 visitors every month. When you host a single website, you will be able to access all the features available in the shared hosting.

2. Plus Cloud plan:

This plan works nicely for sites with up to 25,000 visits every month. You will be able to get as many as 6 websites hosted on the plan and enjoy the features proffered.

3. Turbo Cloud plan:

Clients who have websites that receive up to 50,000 visitors will have this suit them best. You will be able to host an unlimited number of websites.

4. Business Cloud plan:

This plan lets you host unlimited number of websites that receives up to 100,000 visitors a month

2. Reseller Hosting Plans

Reseller hosting gives you the opportunity to make money with NameHero. You will be able earn money by buying and reselling hosting plans for your clients. One beautiful thing about this is that NameHero has reseller hosting plans that have been totally white-labeled. This makes it easy to use your business own name instead of using NameHero. You will also be able to use your own prices.

Choose your preferred reseller pack, you may automate the process using WHMCS, or do your account setup manually within Web Host Manager. Nightly backups will also be available for the safety of websites and that of your clients. All plans include a complimentary eNom reseller account for your clients to sign up for domain names and hosting packs.

With this plan, you will have access to a support system that is available 24/7 and can offer to  help migrate your reseller account without you paying a dime!

Pricing And Plans For Reseller Hosting Plans

There are 3 different hosting plans in the reseller plans:

1. Starter plans: This is their cheapest plan. And you should consider it if you are a beginner with reseller hosting. It is accompanied by a free domain name, the ability to host unlimited number of websites, free SSL provided for every account. It also includes SSD storage of 50GB and a monthly bandwidth of 500GB.

2. Corporate plans: Their corporate plan has all the starter plan features and also a free dedicated IP and a complimentary WHMCS license. It includes monthly bandwidth of 2000GB, and SSD storage of 100GB.

3. Entrepreneur plans: This plan receives a free SSL for every account, free domain name, and an unlimited hosting privilege for clients. However the Entrepreneur plan doesn’t come with a WHMCS license. It however allows up to 2000GB monthly bandwidth and 75GB SSD storage.

3. VPS Hosting Plans

Aside from shared and reseller hosting, NameHero also offers VPS hosting. Once your website begins to get over 100,000 monthly visitors, you have grown beyond your allocated reseller hosting, then you should consider switching to VPS hosting.

And just as their shared hosting plans, they offer nightly backups, free SSL certificates by Let’s Encrypt, free domain names, and use SSD secured by RAID 10. You will also be able to scale disk space, allocated bandwidth, and memory as required by your website.

NameHero’s support system manages all areas of your Operating system so as to keep your server regularly updated and patched for utmost security. You’ll have no worries over applying any software and kernel updates.

So, if you are already considering migrating out of your current hosting provider, with the support team at NameHero you will be able to migrate 10 websites so long your previous host uses the cPanel, and in a period of 30days of your account.

Pricing and Plans For VPS Hosting Plans

NameHero offers four different plans for their VPS hosting.

1. Hero 2GB plan: With this plan, you will be able to use up to 2GB of RAM, SSD storage of 30GB, and with as much as 5TB of bandwidth. This is their cheapest VPS Hosting plan. It also comes with 2 CPU cores, a free cPanel license, and 2 dedicated IPs.

2. Hero 4GB plan: This plan offers 4GB of RAM, 60Gb of storage, and up to 5TB of bandwidth. It also includes a free cPanel license, 2 CPU cores, and 2 dedicated IPs.

3. Hero 6GB plan: While this plan also includes a free cPanel license, and 2 dedicated IPs, as the previous, it however offers 4 CPU cores and allows 6GB RAM, 90GB storage and up to 5TB of bandwidth.

4. Hero 8GB plan:  It offers a free cPanel license, and 2 dedicated IPs, as the previous, and 6 CPU cores. It also allows 8GB of RAM, 120GB of storage, and 5TB of bandwidth.

They all include 99.9% uptime.

NameHero Support Team offers 24/7 support to their customers through email, phone calls, and live chat. Their website also details on most frequently asked questions with guides, articles, and direct answers.

NameHero vs SiteGround

When it comes to comparing these two web host companies, it may be a bit difficult because of their uniqueness and great features. And while Siteground has been my go-to recommendation in the past, NameHero is reliable and offer much lower prices.

NameHero vs SiteGround: Pricing  And Plans

SiteGroundNameHero
Basic Hosting$6.99 per month$4.02 per month
Advanced Hosting$9.99 per month$5.82 per month
Premium Hosting$14.99 per month$8.9 per month

With the recent surge in prices, SiteGround is now much more expensive than NameHero.

NameHero vs SiteGround: Customer Service

SiteGround invests so much in making their customer support system unbeatable. They train their rep thoroughly. You are sure to get excellent service with them always. And when you migrate to their GoGeek plan, you get access to Tier IV technicians and the best of their service.

Well, since NameHero is a smaller web host, they have lesser customer issues to attend to and that makes their customer service a bit different. Even the CEO, Ryan Gray often makes himself available to respond to comments on their blog posts, and YouTube. This makes their customer service more personal and intimate than SiteGround.

In fact, many people have confirmed that NameHero’s customer service is one of the top reasons why they chose to stick with them.

NameHero vs SiteGround: Free Domain

NameHero offers free domain names with all their hosting plans that have exceeded a year.

SiteGround however, doesn’t. And with NameHero’s lower prices, they become a preferred option here.

NameHero vs SiteGround: cPanel

SiteGround has stopped supporting cPanel since the announcement of their new interface. This is one big turn-off about SiteGround. Especially since they already have high prices and have the capacity to keep cPanel. So, why not use it?

NameHero however, has continued to retain cPanel. They even offer the free InterWorx for clients who use VPS hosting. InterWorx is a cPanel competitor. But then, users can choose whichever one they want.

NameHero vs SiteGround: Features

SiteGround has some very fascinating features which are not available when you use other hosts. They include being allowed White label access to the dashboard for your clients, one-click staging, access to the dashboard through collaboration, and a 30-day worth of backups which comes with their GrowBig plan.

NameHero’s special features however include one-click staging (just like SiteGround), Leech protection to heightened security, automatic application patching in situations of vulnerability, automatic scanning of malware, and use of Imunify360 for removals.

SiteGround seems to have more margin here.

NameHero vs SiteGround: Backup plans

NameHero’s basic “Starter Cloud” backs up better than the StartUp plan SiteGround offers.

While SiteGround permits ONLY GoGeek and GrowBig users access to take “snapshots” of their total website on demand, NameHero gives this access to ALL their users! NameHero’s backup functions were in fact recently upgraded to JetBackup. This makes it possible to do snapshots and restore without the need for manual efforts.

SiteGround however beats NameHero when it comes to their higher tier plans. And this is because, while NameHero only allows nightly or weekly backups, SiteGround permits up to the last 30 days.

NameHero has an added advantage with their Offsite Backup plan. They have a unique network which is in a different data center. Even though this is not stated on their site, this information can be gotten through their customer support system. But SiteGround’s backups happen on the same network. You would be required to pay for their “VaultPress” service for automatic backups on offsites.

NameHero vs SiteGround: Architecture

The two web hosts have customized architectures in place – most web hosts however implement raw LAMP stack. NameHero uses the LiteSpeed web server which makes everything topnotch. SiteGround on the other hand uses tuned CentOS installation and Linux containers and NGINX reverse proxy.

NameHero vs SiteGround: Server Caching

SiteGround and NameHero both offer server level caching. This significantly makes performance much better. SiteGround’s server caching called “SuperCacher” is only available to users from their GrowBig plan. NameHero’s LiteSpeed makes server caching offered out of the box.

The two web hosts require installing a plugin on platforms like WordPress, but the server does the heavy lifting. Alternatively you could install plugins such as WP Super Cache, W3 Total Cache, or WP Rocket Cache, but they will slow down your websites. SiteGround’s basic “StartUp” plan specifically caches files that are static on NGINX reverse proxy.

NameHero vs SiteGround: Data Centre Locations

SiteGround currently has four Data Centres. These are; London, UK Data center, Singapore, Chicago US, and Amsterdam, NL.

NameHero has data centers on two separate continents in the world. These are; Phoenix, Arizona; Lansing, Michigan; Amsterdam, EU; and Phoenix, Arizona. New reports have it that NameHero already has another data center in Europe.

In all, I think NameHero is a solid alternative to Siteground and at a more pocket friendly price I say!
