What Is Motivation?

pin image of motivational quotes

Motivation is your desire to do anything. Maybe in your personal life, work, school, sports or any hobbies you might have. Motivation helps you do the things that eventually lead to the achievement of your goals and dreams, whatever they may be.

However, motivation doesn’t always come knocking at your door. Most times we feel the opposite of motivation. We feel so lazy, and uninspired that we leave our work mostly undone. Hence, you must find a way to motivate yourself, else all your important stuff would remain unattended to.

I’ll love to share with you some simple tricks that I’ve found helpful.

How To Motivate Yourself: 3 Simple Tricks

Photo of a motivation Quote

1. Create A Motivating Environment

You want to make sure you have everything important to you right in front of you – in your environment. That is the first step. To achieve this; try rearranging your room, use subtle reminders like sticky notes, and set a reminder on your mobile phone. Having a playlist of your favorite songs jamming in the background would also help keep you going. Your environment is key.

2. Celebrate Your Small Wins

No one loves doing what sucks. Unfortunately, work sucks. But guess what doesn’t suck? Winning! Rather than focusing on your big goals and risk feeling overwhelmed and crappy, why not create mini-goals to help excite you along the way. This simple shift in mindset and approach would keep you lifted as you go about crushing one goal after the other without feeling the sting of work. You can decide to break down your goal to 10 small-sized goals that you can easily “win” and then “celebrate”.

3.      Stay Around Motivated People

You need to be around people who are just as ambitious as you are. What is it that they say? “If you stay around 4 millionaires, you would become the 5th”? Okay, maybe not, but the truth is, being around the right kind of people can help you grow. Hang around people who fan your flame, who are on the same path as you. Who would push you to do more. Who are motivated. Remember, “Iron sharpens iron”

Okay, so now we know all about motivation, can we get the party started with like a billion motivational quotes from random, successful, famous, wise, and brilliant people?

Lets goooo!!!

“The greatest fear people have is that of being themselves. They want to be 50 Cent or someone else. They do what everyone else does even if it doesn’t fit where and who they are. But you get nowhere that way; your energy is weak and no one pays attention to you. You’re running away from the one thing that you own – what makes you different.” ― 50 Cent

What keeps you in such positions is a fear of having to sink or swim on your own. Instead you should have a greater fear of what will happen to you if you remain dependent on others for power. Your goal in every maneuver in life must be ownership, working the corner for yourself. When it is yours to lose-you are more motivated, more creative, more alive. The ultimate power in life is to be completely self-reliant, completely yourself.” ― 50 Cent,

“Reality has its own power—you can turn your back on it, but it will find you in the end, and your inability to cope with it will be your ruin.” ― 50 Cent,

“That’s when I realized that as long as you don’t broadcast your beefs, you can get away cold with murder. It’s even better if you don’t allow the beef to take place. If someone disrespects you, you can know in your heard that you’re going to get him, but you don’t have to show him there’s a beef. You can just look at it like, Okay, this nigga must not know. And then you fall back and you put it down.” ― 50 Cent,

“its not about the dog in the fight, its about the fight in the dog!” ― 50 cent

“Understand: people judge you by appearances, the image you project through your actions, words, and style.

If you do not take control of this process, then people will see and define you the way they want to, often to your detriment.

You might think that being consistent with this image will make others respect and trust you, but in fact it is the opposite—over time you seem predictable and weak.

Consistency is an illusion anyway—each passing day brings changes within you. You must not be afraid to express these evolutions.

The powerful learn early in life that they have the freedom to mold their image, fitting the needs and moods of the moment. In this way, they keep others off balance and maintain an air of mystery.

You must follow this path and find great pleasure in reinventing yourself, as if you were the author writing your own drama” ― 50 Cent,
